San Antonio – With the Heartland Conference Championship Meet just two weeks away, the St. Mary’s cross country team ran Saturday at the Incarnate Word Invitational with two goals in mind.

Continue improving, but don’t peak just yet.

The Rattlers excelled on all fronts, coming in fourth place at the 11-team event at Live Oak City Park.

Allison Manning (Fr., Mansfield, Texas) finished 24th for the Rattlers with a time of 21:55.3, while Olivia Lara (Fr., El Paso, Texas) came in 31st at 22:53.6.

Finishing right behind Lara was Ariel Ornelas (Jr., Arlington, Texas), whose time of 22:56.8 was good enough for 32nd place, while Alicia Sanchez (So., Phoenix) finished 33rd (23:02.3) and Rebekah Rubio (Sr., New Braunfels, Texas) came in 38th (23:37.5).

Kristyn Mathewson (Sr., Honolulu) was 43rd with a time of 23:54.7.
