VICTORIA, Texas – Fresh off being named the Heartland Conference Hitter of the Week, St. Mary’s junior baseball player Tyler Migl again showed why he deserved such an honor.
Migl, a first baseman from San Antonio, went 3 for 5 with a home run and three RBIs to spur the Rattlers past Houston-Victoria, 7-3, on Tuesday.
Overcoming a 1-0 deficit in the first inning, the Rattlers rolled to reel off their fifth straight win. They are now 9-3 on the season.
Skye Severns (Jr., Claremont, Calif.) picked up the victory, his first of the season, after going 5 1/3 innings on the mound.
The first five runs St. Mary’s scored came with two outs on the board.
