Durant, Okla. – St. Mary’s University closed out the Wells Fargo Shootout by dropping a pair of hard-fought matches Saturday.
The Rattlers fell to Oklahoma Baptist 0-3 (22-25, 20-25, 21-25) before also falling to Midwestern State 0-3 (20-25, 22-25, 23-25) at Bloomer Sullivan Arena.
St. Mary’s (6-11) was led by Karlie Ortega (Fr., San Antonio), who recorded nine kills in each game. Allie Murray (So., San Antonio) had a team-high 13 digs in both games, while Kori McCarver (Sr., San Antonio) led the Rattlers with a total of 45 assists over the two matches.
Kate Kershner (Sr., San Antonio) also totaled 23 digs during the day.
