San Antonio – St. Mary’s University women’s golfer Ursula Perez was named second All-Heartland Conference, it was announced by the league office in a vote of conference coaches. The award marked the second straight season that Perez was named All-Heartland Conference.

Perez (Jr., San Antonio) had the best stroke average on the team at 81.4, including a low round of 73. She finished in the top 25 in six of nine tournaments this season. She had three top-10 finishes, including a second place showing at the Northeastern State Classic. Perez received All-Heartland Conference for the second straight season. She is the 17th St. Mary’s women’s golfer to earn All-Heartland Conference recognition. Perez is seventh in St. Mary’s women’s golf history in stroke average with an 83.2.

St. Mary’s finished the 2009-2010 season at the Heartland Conference Tournament, placing sixth as a team, while Jenna Wessels (Sr., Katy, Texas) finished 11th individually. The Rattlers return four of their top five golfers for the 2010-2011 season.
