STEPHENVILLE, Texas – Tarleton State University, ranked 20th in the nation by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, swept St. Mary’s University in women’s tennis action on Friday, 9-0.

The Texans won all six singles matches in straight sets, with Mei-Jing Ang (So., McAllen, Texas) coming the closest to a victory for the Rattlers, falling by a 6-3, 6-2, count at number three singles. Cimen Soy (Jr., Gothenburg, Sweden) was defeated by 41st ranked Adrianna Jaskova at number one singles, 6-1, 6-2.

With the loss, St. Mary’s fell to 8-8 this season. Tarleton State improved to 12-4 with the victory. The Rattlers will return to action on Saturday, when they travel to Wichita Falls, Texas, to face Midwestern State University.
