San Antonio – St. Mary’s University women’s basketball coach Jason Martens announced on Saturday the signing of Mesquite, Texas, native Bria Bell to a national letter of intent to join the Rattlers, starting with the 2010-2011 academic year.

Bell (Fr., F, Mesquite, Texas) was a standout for Coach Christina Bradford at Horn High School. Bell is the first signee for the Rattler women’s basketball team for the 2010-2011 season. St. Mary’s is currently 6-3 this season. They will hit the road for their first Heartland Conference game of the season, when they travel to Goodwell, Okla., to face Oklahoma Panhandle State University at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 17.
