JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.–Corey Harbert and Nick Morey combined to score 38 points off the bench, helping St. Mary’s University to a convincing 82-67 win over Lincoln University in the regular season Heartland Conference men’s basketball finale for both teams Saturday night at Jason Gym.

The Rattlers had little trouble with Lincoln, never trailing after the first five minutes of the game and leading by as much as 23 points in rolling to the easy win.

Harbert (Jr., San Antonio) scored a season-high 20 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the field, including 6-of-8 from three-point range to lead all players in the game. Morey (Jr., Belpre, Ohio) was also lights-out off the bench, hitting on 7-of-12 shooting from the field to score 18 points. He just missed out on a double-double, pulling down nine rebounds. He also dished out four assists and made three steals.

As a team the Rattlers shot a sizzling 55.0 percent (33-60) from the field, including 47.4 percent from three-point range (9-19). They outrebounded the Tigers 38-26.

With the win the Rattlers improved to 15-12 overall and 6-4 in Heartland Conference play, clinching the third seed in the upcoming Heartland Conference Tournament, where they will face the University of the Incarnate Word in the opening round on Friday in Denton. Game time will be announced on Monday.
