EDMOND, Okla. – Amanda Anderson placed 13th individually, helping the St. Mary’s University women’s golf team to a sixth place finish at the Broncho Masters Women’s Golf Tournament, played at the Fairfax Golf Club Tuesday.

Anderson (Sr., San Antonio) shot a first round 77 on her way to a 164. Emily Leahey of host UCO took medalist honors, shooting a seven-over par 151. Placing in a tie for second was Dina O’Brien and  Kirby Baker of St. Edward’s University with 153s.

Ursula Perez (So., San Antonio) tied for 21st overall with a two-round total of 168 (80-88), Alejandra Cantu (Fr., Mission) tied for 31st with a 172 (84-88), Jenna Wessels (Jr., Katy) tied for 35th with a 174 (84-90), Marie Hulsey (Jr., El Paso) was 45th with a 181 (90-91) and Sonya Sanchez (Jr., McCamey) was 51st with a 184 (93-91).

St. Edward’s University took the team title, defeating host University of Central Oklahoma, 629-642. Cameron University was third at 651, Angelo State University and Texas A&M University-Commerce tied for fourth with 663s, while St. Mary’s was sixth with a 678.

The Rattlers will wrap up the fall season when they travel to Hilo-Hawaii to play in the University of Hawaii-Hilo Invitational on Oct. 27-28.
