San Antonio – St. Mary’s University volleyball player Samantha Weber was named to the Rollins College Invitational Volleyball Tournament All-Tournament team for her play last Friday and Saturday in Winter Park, Fla.

Weber (Sr., Fort Lupton, Colo.) averaged 3.00 kills and 1.22 blocks per game for the Rattlers at the tournament. She had 10 kills against Lynn University and added 11 against Barry. However, she saw her streak of six straight matches with at least 10 kills end against Rollins College in the tournament finale. She had at least two blocks per match in all three matches, including five in the match against Rollins.

For the season Weber leads the Rattlers with an average of 3.79 kills per game and a .263 attack percentage. She also is picking up 1.08 blocks per game and 0.67 service aces per game, also team highs.

Weber’s honor marked the second time this season she has earned All-Tournament honors. In the season opening St. Mary’s University/Texas MedClinic Invitational, she was one of two Rattlers to be honored. Also earning All-Tournament honors for St. Mary’s was Stephanie Crowell (So., The Woodlands).

St. Mary’s has a 2-5 record heading into play this week. They will host Texas A&M University-Kingsville on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Bill Greehey Arena. After that match they will hit the road to play in the Cameron University Best Western Invitational this Friday and Saturday in Lawton, Okla.
