SAN ANGELO – All St. Mary’s University softball games at the NCAA Division II South Central Region Tournament will be broadcast live on the web at www.rattlerathletics.com; it was announced by the St. Mary’s Athletic Department Thursday.
The first game of the tournament for the Rattlers will be against Western New Mexico University on Thursday afternoon at 5 p.m. The Rattlers second game of the tournament will be on Friday at either 1:30 p.m. or 6:30 p.m.
Fans who want to listen in to the games can do so by logging on to www.rattlerathletics.com, then clicking on the “Listen to the Rattlers” link in the upper right-hand corner of the page. That link will take fans to the “Sounds from the Snakepit” web site. On that page there is a link to the live broadcast, as well as information to download QuickTime, the program needed to listen to the live broadcast.
Broadcasts of the game will start approximately 10 minutes prior to game time. Derek Smolik, Sports Information Director at St. Mary’s will handle the play-by-play duties.
