Curtis V. Anastasio, president and CEO of NuStar Energy LP, will be the first speaker of the 2007-2008 Forum on Entrepreneurship Breakfast Series when the new season starts Sept. 20. The series is a partnership between St. Mary’s University and the San Antonio business community.

Anastasio has been at the helm of NuStar since 1999. In that time, NuStar has become one of the nation’s largest operators of petroleum product terminals and petroleum liquids pipelines, with more than 9,000 miles of pipeline, 87 terminal facilities and four crude oil storage facilities. Asastasio is also president and CEO of NuStar Holdings, LLC, which owns general partner interests in NuStar Energy and manages its business affairs. He is a graduate of Harvard Law School and Cornell University.

The event is Thursday, Sept. 20 at 7:30 a.m. at Pearl Stable at the Historic Pearl Brewery, located at 312 Pearl Parkway, Building 2. Registration starts at 7 a.m., breakfast at 7:30 a.m. and the speaker at 8 a.m.

The purpose of the Entrepreneurship Breakfast Series is to advance entrepreneurial activities in San Antonio and promote the development of student scholarships at St. Mary’s. The series was started in 1986 by Brother Paul Goelz, S.M., Ph.D. It is conducted by the Meadows Center for Entrepreneurship Studies within the Bill Greehey School of Business at St. Mary’s University.
