San Antonio – St. Mary’s University women’s soccer player Elizabeth Hoffman was named Heartland Conference offensive player of the week for her play in the Rattlers opening three games of the season, it was announced by the league office on Wednesday.

Hoffman (Jr., Plano) tallied two goals as the Rattlers won their season opener against Georgian Court. She posted her second multiple goal game of her career in the win. Her two goals against Georgian Court also matched her total from the 2006 season. In the Rattler’s next game she assisted on the game-winning goal against Abilene Christian. She leads the team with five points in four games so far this season.

St. Mary’s is 2-2 on the season and has lost it’s last two games by identical 2-1 scores. The Rattlers will remain on the road, heading to Canyon on Saturday to play regionally ranked West Texas A&M University at 1 p.m.
