PENSACOLA, Fla. – St. Mary’s University women’s golfer Jessica Harbin shot a 77 and is tied for 11th overall after the third round of the NCAA Division II Women’s Golf National Championship, played at the Stonebrook Golf Club Friday.

Harbin (Sr., Tuscola) started the round strong, with pars on the first six holes. But she ran into trouble after that, bogeying three of the next four holes. After four more pars she bogeyed the 15th and 16th holes and finished with a five-over 77. She is eight strokes behind Tonya Choate of Drury, who has the overall individual lead after firing a one-under 71 and is at 219 (76-72-71) after three rounds.

In the team competition Florida Southern College has a 15-stroke lead over second place Rollins College. The Moccasins have a three-round total of 886, while Rollins is at 901. Ferris State University is third with a 917.

Play will wrap up at the Stonebrook Golf Club with the final round of the four-round tournament on Thursday at 8 a.m. Harbin will tee off at 9:50 a.m. Thursday morning.
