San Antonio – Jessica Harbin fired a final round 76 to lead the way as St. Mary’s University finished sixth overall at the Rattler Roundup Women’s Golf Tournament, held at the Pecan Valley Golf Club Tuesday.

Harbin (Sr., Tuscola) finished with a two-round total of 154 (78-76) to finish four strokes behind Emily Kvinta of St. Edward’s, who claimed medalist honors with a 150 (72-78). Marcie Hopson of Grand Canyon took third place with a 151 (77-74), while Jessica McKay of Grand Canyon and Shraddhanjali Singh of Tarleton State tied for fifth with two-round totals of 155.

Amanda Anderson (So., San Antonio) posted her second top-10 finish of the season, placing ninth overall with a two-round total of 159 (76-83). Elizabeth Brandt (Sr., Scottsdale, Ariz.) tied for 39th overall with a 172 (87-75), while Marie Hulsey (Fr., El Paso) was 56th with a 180 (91-89).

In the team competition St. Edward’s held off strong final rounds from both Northeastern State and Western New Mexico University to take the team title. The Hilltoppers finished with a 636 (315-321). Northeastern State was second with a 640 (321-319) and WNMU was third with a 652 (335-317). Tarleton State took fourth with a 662, Cameron was fifth with a 664, while Grand Canyon and St. Mary’s tied for sixth at 665.

The Rattler women’s golf team will return to action on March 5-6 when they travel to Austin to compete in the St. Edward’s University Invitational.
