San Antonio — Befitting a game of its magnitude, tensions were high Saturday night at Bill Greehey Arena. But the St. Mary’s Rattlers persevered, downing St. Edward’s University 58-48 to clinch a spot in a Heartland Conference Tournament play-in game. However, St. Mary’s lost a coin flip to Western New Mexico immediately after its victory, meaning the Rattlers will travel to Silver City, N.M., on Monday.
