San Antonio — The Rattlers split a pair with Oklahoma Panhandle State on Friday, winning the front end of a double header off a strong pitching performance by senior David Ramirez.
St. Mary’s (21-9, 14-4) won Game 1 3-2 but dropped Game 2 5-4 at V.J. Keefe Memorial Stadium.
Ramirez tossed three strikeouts in the final inning to secure the Rattlers’ victory in the opening game.
The two squads will resume play in another doubleheader on Saturday, beginning at 11 a.m. at V.J. Keefe Memorial Stadium.
