San Antonio — The Lady Rattlers are just days away from their bigest game of the season, but on Tuesday the Heartland Conference honored four players for their performances this year.

Junior post Charlena Rodez and sophomore guard Becca Herbst were named to the All-Heartland Women’s Basketball Second-Team, while freshman post Ashton Benford and senior forward Juliett Williams were named All-Heartland Women’s Basketball Honorable Mentions.

Rodez, the Lady Rattlers’ leading scorer with 359 points, played in 29 games — starting 10 of them. Herbst, starting 28 of the team’s 29 games, averaged 5.2 points.

Williams led St. Mary’s with 63 offensive rebounds and averaged 9.0 points. Benford, a starter in 16 games, averaged 5.6 points and 4.5 rebounds.
