The St. Mary’s Rattlers did not need any late-inning heroics to notch their first victory of the weekend on Saturday, knocking off the Tarleton Texas 9-4 in Stephenville, Texas.

Prior to Saturday’s contest, the Rattlers (1-2) had scored all nine of their runnings in just two innings.

Rattlers senior pitcher David Ramirez picked up credit for the win.

St. Mary’s head baseball coach Charlie Migl is now just nine wins shy of 700 in his career.

The Rattlers will remain in Stephenville on Sunday, playing the Texans again in doubleheader action.
