Manny Hernandez scored 15 points, and Joe Allen scored 14 as St. Mary’s cruised past Incarnate Word Saturday night at UIW.
The win gives the Rattlers (21-6, 11-1) the Heartland Conference co-championship. The team shares the title with Drury.
The Rattlers will be the No. 1 seed in the Heartland Conference tournament based on the outcome of a coin flip Saturday night.
St. Mary’s will host Oklahoma Panhandle State at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the first round of the conference tournament.
Against UIW, Hernandez’s 15 led the team. J.J. Edwards and Steve Goff led the team with 6 rebounds a piece. The Rattlers led 32-26 at halftime.
