St. Mary’s wrapped up its regular season with a dominant victory over cross-town rival Incarnate Word at Bill Greehey Arena on Wednesday.
The Lady Rattlers (15-17, 7-5) swept the Cardinals 30-23, 30-25, 30-26, sending off their seniors in victorious fashion on Senior Night. Katy Migl led the Lady Rattlers with 32 digs, while Anna Seals pitched in a team-leading 16 digs. Courtney Matula recorded a team-high 25 assists.
The victory over No. 2-seeded Incarnate Word has no affect on the Rattlers’ playoff positioning, though, as St. Mary’s heads into postseason play this weekend as the No. 4 seed.
St. Mary’s will face Western New Mexico in the opening round of the Heartland Conference Volleyball Tournament on Nov. 11 at 2 p.m. in Austin.
