Senior guard J.J. Edwards, from Burkburnett, Texas, has been named Heartland Conference Player Of The Week for the week of Jan. 24-Jan. 30.
Edwards lead the Rattlers in a close 67-65 victory over cross-town rival Incarnate Word onJan. 29. He scored 21 points, including three clutch free throws, while playing the entire 40 minutes.
This is the second time during the 2004-2005 season that Edwards has garnered Player Of The Week Honors for the conference.
The Rattlers are 16-5 overall and 6-0 in Heartland Conference play.
