After a 3-over final round St. Mary’s Luke Antonelli finished tied for tenth in the the 2004 NCAA Division II Men’s Golf Championships at the Victoria Hills Golf Club in DeLand, Fla. Antonelli and Ryan Lamond of Barry University both completed the tournament at 9-over 297, eight shots behind the individual champion, J.J. Jakovac of Chico State. South Carolina-Aiken won the team title.

Antonelli, a sophomore from Silt, Colo., was competing in the National Championships as an at-large individual selection. He was tapped for nationals after finishing fourth at the South Central Regional in Springfield, Missouri. Antonelli got off to a great start at nationals on Wednesday, finshing at even par and tied for fifth. He fell to a tie for 24th after shooting 7-over in round two, but a 1-under 71 on Friday vaulted him back into the top ten. In the final round Antonelli offset bogeys on holes 1, 5 and 13 and a double-bogey on hole 7 with birdies on 9 and 17.
