WHO: St. Mary’s University incoming freshman class of 2007, approximately 500 students,
WHAT: will begin college life with Dell notebook computers. Students will be able to read e-mail or use
the Internet just about anywhere on campus and beginning next month they can also tune in at the
Java City wireless network once it debuts. Full-time students enrolled in the notebook program are
receiving Dell C-840 notebooks which have wireless cards installed. The back to school shopping season
is all about notebooks with the latest high-capacity wireless acess, which St. Mary’s students will have.
The notebook distribution process includes separate computer orientation classes throughout the day.
WHEN: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15.
WHERE: Richter Math Building, located to the right of the quadrangle and behind St. Louis Hall.
