WHO: Joe W. “Chip” Pitts III, lawyer, businessman, human rights/civil liberties activist, and frequent speaker and writer on domestic and foreign policy. Pitts, a board member of Amnesty International USA, has
been chief legal officer of Nokia, Inc., and helped to draft international treaties and instruments, including the Rights of the Child.

WHAT: “Security at Home and Abroad: War Against Terrorism, Against Iraq”
will be the topic of his lecture, which is sponsored by Amnesty International USA Sister Laola Hironaka, F.M.I, is the area coordinator for the San Antonio, Austin and Houston region, while Joseph Trigilio is St. Mary’s student area coordinator.
