  • Law Students–15 Books–Four Weeks–One Renewal This policy applies only to books checked out from the Blume Library. 
  • Law Employees–30 Books–One Semester–One Renewal

Library Cards

  • St. Mary’s students, faculty, and staff must present a valid St. Mary’s Rattler ID card in order to check out library materials. 
  • TexShare Card holders from participating libraries should present their TexShare card and university/college ID card.
  • The TexShare Card program allows St. Mary’s students, faculty, and staff to check out materials from participating libraries throughout the State of Texas. Please inquire at the Circulation Counter for more information.
  • Members of the St. Mary’s Law School community (students, faculty, and staff) are not eligible to receive TexShare cards from the Blume Library. We regret any inconvenience this may cause. Please contact the Law Library Director for further information.

Holds Policy

These policies apply only in the Blume Library.

Every patron is entitled to one (1) renewal, unless another patron places a hold on the checked-out item.

In such cases, the placer of the hold is entitled to check out the item, and the renewal privilege is canceled.

Holds may not be placed on Reserve items.

Holds are filled in the order they are placed.

Renew Items

Only one online renewal permitted per item.

  • If you need more time or have an issue renewing materials online, please bring the item to the Circulation Counter on the 2nd floor of the Blume Library for assistance.
Steps:
  1. Click “My Library Account” on the top right of the main library page.
  2. Enter the requested information >>>
    • Your first and last name (as it appears on your St. Mary’s Rattler ID card)
    • Your ID number (type the last 6 or 7 digits after “S00”)
  3. Click “Submit”
  4. Select items to Renew
  5. To renew items individually: click the checkbox(es) in next to the title and then click the “Renew Marked” button at the top.
  6. To renew ALL items: click the “Renew All” button at the top.
  7. Confirm the item(s) you are renewing by clicking “Yes” or “No”
  8. You will be redirected back to the main screen & can now see your updated Due Date!
