AUSTIN, Texas – Alejandra Cantu leads the St. Mary’s women’s golf team after one round of the St. Edward’s Invitational, having shot an 87 in Monday’s opening round.
Right behind Cantu (Jr., Mission, Texas) were Julia Dickens (So., Fredericksburg, Texas) and Erika Patterson (Jr., San Antonio), each of whom shot 88.
St. Mary’s enters Tuesday’s final round in 16th place with a team score of 359.
Incarnate Word leads the event at 310. Par is 71.
For Cantu, she finished the day strong, shooting 40 on the back nine after carding a 47 on the front nine.
