AUSTIN, Texas – The St. Mary’s women’s golf team is in 14th place after one round of the St. Edward’s Invitational at Grey Rock Golf Club.

Cami Furgeson (Jr., Newcastle, Calif.) led the Lady Rattlers with a first-round score of 84, which puts her in a tie for 38th place entering Tuesday’s second and final round. St. Mary’s shot 353 as a team.

Furgeson’s younger sister, Bailey, was right behind Cami, firing an 85 in the first round to sit in 46th place. Meanwhile, Alejandra Cantu (Sr., Mission, Texas) shot an 89 for 62nd place. Adela E. Rodriguez (Jr., Monterrey, Mexico) shot 95, as did Julia Dickens (Jr., Fredericksburg, Texas).

Tarleton State leads the tournament at 300, while TexAnn golfer Sharon Lau leads the field after shooting a 72.
