GOODYEAR, Ariz. – Led by freshman Bailey Furgeson, the St. Mary’s women’s golf team came in 16th place at the Grand Canyon Invitational on Tuesday.

Furgeson (Fr., Newcastle, Calif.) fired back-to-back 82’s to finish in a tie for 54th place with a two-round score of 164 at the Wigwam Golf Resort, leading the Rattlers to a 669 point total as a team.

Furgeson’s sister, Cami (Jr., Newcastle, Calif.) shot 83 in the final round to finish three shots back of Bailey, while senior Alejandra Cantu (Mission, Texas) clawed back with an 82 Tuesday to finish at 169.

Julia Dickens (Jr., Fredericksburg, Texas) shot 170 and Adela E. Rodriguez (Jr., Monterrey, Mexico) shot 174.

Grand Canyon’s Ashley Mooney won the individual title after carding a 148, leading her team to the team title with a score of 604.
