DALLAS – Freshman Bailey Furgeson held on Tuesday to finish as St. Mary’s top performer in the Dallas Baptist Classic, as the St. Mary’s women’s golf team came in 14th place in its second-to-last event during the fall portion of its schedule.

Furgeson (Fr., Newcastle, Calif.) shot 85 for a two-day score of 163 to finish in a tie for 48th place. Meanwhile, Adela Elizonda Rodriguez shot up the chart Tuesday with an 87 to finish in a tie for 56th place at 166.

Cami Furgeson (Jr., Newcastle, Calif.) wound up in a tie for 61st after firing an 89 to shoot 168 for the tournament. Right behind her was Alejandra Cantu (Sr., Mission, Texas), who shot 171 over two days, and Erika Patterson (Sr., San Antonio), who carded a 179.

St. Mary’s shot 668 as a team.

Heartland Conference foe Dallas Baptist, the event’s host, won the tournament with a score of 616, while Grand Valley State’s Sarah Hoffman took the individual title with a score of 146.
