The Office of University Communications reviews all invitation copy (dates, protocol, style, branding, grammar, etc.) before printing on shells.<\/li><li>Envelopes should have a printed return address (as identified when ordering from the stationery site)<\/li><li>Addresses should be handwritten using blue ink<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Personal letter on University letterhead<\/li><li>Personal email message from the host (not sent through the University&#8217;s Emma account, which is for large or mass emails)<ul><li>Personal messages do not include graphics or photos<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Save the Date and or Reminders<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Personal email messages from the host<\/li><li>Personal phone calls from the host or an appropriate identified person<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">RSVP<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Email or phone response \u2013 as identified on the invitation<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mailing or Email Lists<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Lists (mail or email) are provided by the Office of University Advancement<\/li><li>Project person is responsible for requesting and checking accuracy and presentation of mailing and\/or email addresses<\/li><li>Handwritten addresses are recommended for printed invitations, as well as hand-applied postage stamps with appropriate images<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Invitation Timeline<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Save the date messages &#8211; minimum three months in advance of the event<\/li><li>Invitations &#8211; minimum six weeks in advance of the event<\/li><li>Reminders &#8211; one to two weeks in advance of the event<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Sample invitation copy 1:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Logo<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thomas M.
