{"id":61,"date":"2017-02-16T15:07:00","date_gmt":"2017-02-16T15:07:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.stmarytx.edu\/policies\/?post_type=blumep&#038;p=61"},"modified":"2026-06-29T16:07:41","modified_gmt":"2026-06-29T16:07:41","slug":"blume-library-library-circulation","status":"publish","type":"blume-library","link":"https:\/\/www.stmarytx.edu\/policies\/blume-library\/blume-library-library-circulation\/","title":{"rendered":"Blume Library: Library Circulation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Categories of Borrowers &amp; Borrowing Privileges<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Effective Spring 2026<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Undergraduate Students<\/strong>&#8211;15&nbsp;Books&#8211;Four Weeks&#8211;One Renewal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Graduate\/PHD Students<\/strong>&#8211;15 Books&#8211;Four Weeks&#8211;One Renewal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>University Employees &#8211;30<\/strong>&nbsp;Books&#8211;Four Weeks&#8211;One Renewal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>TexShare Card Holders<\/strong>&#8211;4 Books&#8211;Two Weeks&#8211;One Renewal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Special Card Holders<\/strong>&#8211;10 Books&#8211;Two Weeks&#8211;One Renewal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Law Students<\/strong>&#8211;15 Books&#8211;Four Weeks&#8211;One Renewal This policy applies only to books checked out from the Blume Library.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Law Employees<\/strong>&#8211;30 Books&#8211;One Semester&#8211;One Renewal<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Library Cards<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>St. Mary&#8217;s students, faculty, and staff must present a valid St. Mary&#8217;s Rattler ID card in order to check out library materials.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>TexShare Card holders from participating libraries should present their TexShare card and university\/college ID card.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The TexShare Card program allows St. Mary&#8217;s students, faculty, and staff to check out materials from participating libraries throughout the State of Texas. Please inquire at the Circulation Counter for more information.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Members of the St. Mary&#8217;s Law School community (students, faculty, and staff) are&nbsp;<strong><em>not<\/em>&nbsp;<\/strong>eligible to receive TexShare cards from the Blume Library. We regret any inconvenience this may cause. Please contact the Law Library Director for further information.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Holds Policy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These policies apply only in the Blume Library.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every patron is entitled to one (1) renewal, unless another patron places a hold on the checked-out item.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In such cases, the placer of the hold is entitled to check out the item, and the renewal privilege is canceled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Holds may not be placed on Reserve items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Holds are filled in the order they are placed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Renew Items <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Only&nbsp;<strong>one&nbsp;<\/strong>online renewal permitted per item.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you need more time or have an issue renewing materials online, please bring the item to the Circulation Counter on the 2nd floor of the Blume Library for assistance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Steps:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/regina.stmarytx.edu\/patroninfo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">My Library Account<\/a>&#8221; on the top right of the main library page.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter the requested information &gt;&gt;&gt;\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Your first and last name (as it appears on your St. Mary&#8217;s Rattler ID card)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your ID number (type the last 6 or 7 digits\u00a0<em>after\u00a0<\/em>&#8220;S00&#8221;)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click &#8220;Submit&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select items to Renew<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To renew items individually:\u00a0click the checkbox(es) in next to the title and then click the &#8220;<strong>Renew Marked<\/strong>&#8221; button at the top.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To renew ALL items:\u00a0click the &#8220;<strong>Renew All<\/strong>&#8221; button at the top.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confirm the item(s) you are renewing by clicking &#8220;Yes&#8221; or &#8220;No&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You will be redirected back to the main screen &amp; can now see your updated Due Date!\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Policy Updated 6\/29\/2026<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"template":"","class_list":["post-61","blume-library","type-blume-library","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.4 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>Blume Library: Library Circulation - Policy Library<\/title>\n<meta name=\"robots\" content=\"index, follow, max-snippet:-1, max-image-preview:large, max-video-preview:-1\" \/>\n<link rel=\"canonical\" href=\"https:\/\/www.stmarytx.edu\/policies\/blume-library\/blume-library-library-circulation\/\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:locale\" content=\"en_US\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:type\" content=\"article\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:title\" content=\"Blume Library: Library Circulation - Policy Library\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:description\" content=\"Categories of Borrowers &amp; Borrowing Privileges Effective Spring 2026 Library Cards Holds Policy These policies apply only in the Blume Library.
