Biography

Jeremy Grace joined St. Mary’s University in May 2016. He comes from Rice University where he served as the Director of the Full-Time MBA from 2012 through 2016.

Prior to accepting this director role at Rice University, he was at the University of New South Wales’ Australian School of Business where he served as associate director of Learning and Teaching. From 2001 to 2010, Grace served as a lecturer at Rice University in the disciplines of Communications, Humanities, and Leadership Studies; as the associate director of the Office of Academic Advising; and numerous other capacities as a member of the academic and professional staff.

Grace holds a Master of Arts in Rhetoric and Composition and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from Northern Arizona University, and is currently finishing his Ph.D. dissertation in education leadership at the University of New South Wales.

With a broad range of academic expertise and more than 18 years of experience in higher education, Grace brings a variety of academic interests and pursuits ranging from his ongoing research in the areas of leadership education, communications and phenomenology to his participation in the International Jean Gebser Society. As a national award winning speech coach and former assistant director of the George R. Brown Forensics Society at Rice University, and director of forensics at Northern Arizona University, Grace is an often-cited expert of rhetoric and political communication in numerous local and national news broadcasts and print media outlets in the United States. He comes to San Antonio with his wife, Morgan, and daughter, Harper.
