We understand the challenge of making travel plans and that’s why we feel it is important to provide you with a few helpful tips so you can make your travel plans as soon as possible.
Zaragoza is a two-day program for all new students (with the exception of transfer students meeting specific criteria).
Reminder: Please take into consideration your assigned test times when making travel arrangements.
Please bring a Photo ID, any transcripts, CLEP exam scores, COMPASS results, AP exam scores, health records, etc. that have not already been submitted to the Office of Undergraduate Admission. You can turn in any of your important documents to the Office of Undergraduate Admission at designated times during the program.
St. Mary’s University is located approximately 20 minutes from the San Antonio Airport. You can rent a car or take a taxicab to campus, which costs about $30-$35 each way.
Parking is available in Parking Lot T or W in front of the AA&CC (Alumni Athletics & Convocation Center). If you are staying on campus during the program, we recommend that you park in Parking Lots N, Q or O. Campus Map
Residence Hall Check-In
Students attending either of the Zaragoza sessions in June can check into Founders Residence Hall from 10:00 a.m. until 5:45 p.m. on the first day of the chosen session (June I: Monday, June 16, 2014 or June II: Thursday, June 19, 2014). Accommodations include: Double occupancy room with another new student attending the program, beds, pillows, towels, and linens. You will need to provide your own toiletries. You may also want to bring: a blanket, personal towel, alarm clock, and phone charger.
Students who are attending the August Zaragoza session and have been assigned to a residence hall for the Fall 2014 semester, may check into their assigned rooms the day prior to Zaragoza (Wednesday, August 13, 2014) from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 – 10 p.m. Students will receive information on check-in times and procedures with their room assignments later in summer. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate commuter students, parents, or other guess with on-campus housing during the August Zaragoza sessions.
