What is your advice to students choosing a graduate program?
It’s important to research the program you feel meets your intentions. Take time to consider your personal motivation, what fits your lifestyle and even learning style. Finally, talk to the admission team, current students, alumni and, most importantly, the faculty so that you can learn about the university and your program of interest.
What inspires you?
I’m inspired as I learn more about my family’s history and realize that I’m standing on the shoulders of amazing men and women who, through faith and hard work, paved the way for me and my immediate family to be where we are today.
What did you want to be when you were a kid?
As a kid, I wanted to be a dentist. My orthodontist was the coolest doctor. He explained what he was doing each visit and had a talking parrot that said the funniest things while you waited in the lobby.
Who is someone you admire, and why?
I admire my parents for their strength, hard work, and sacrifices. They taught by example with tons of unconditional love.
What is the most interesting place you’ve traveled?
In 2018, I went to Italy. One favorite city is Verona. My brother and I went to the top of the Arena di Verona and saw the famous balcony of Juliette’s house from Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliette. My overall experience in Italy was the best. I’d love to go back one day.
Who is your favorite superhero?
My favorite superhero is the team of Batman and Robin, the dynamic duo. I love the bat-cave, bat-computer, and bat-mobile. Fun times!
What would your personal motto be?
Your gift makes room for you.
