Ray Wooten, Ph.D., has been on the St. Mary’s University faculty since 2000, teaching classes at the both the master’s and doctorate levels.
Wooten’s clinical and research interest is body-centered psychotherapy and creating an embodied culture of practice. He is a registered somatic movement therapist (RSMT) teaching yoga, mindfulness, movement/dance and body-focused strategies as part of the Somatic Counseling concentration. Further interest and training includes a variety of alternative /complementary therapies in counseling, such as Authentic Movement, breathwork, hypnotherapy and shamanic journey.
