Before devoting her work full time to St. Mary’s University, Ana served as adjunct faculty with The Art Institute of St. Louis where she taught various classes on digital film making and video production. While there, she helped restructure the core curriculum to include more emphasis with hands-on technologies and cross-cultural studies courses, as well as co-founded an annual student film competition.
She currently teaches full time in the Department of Communication Studies of St. Mary’s, specifically instructing oral and mass communication courses. She also teaches a photography course, several online classes at Palo Alto College and is a fitness instructor outside the classroom. Ana has also taught screenwriting courses at The Radio Recording and Film Connection.
Her educational background includes a B.A. (Film Studies) and M.F.A. (Media Communications) from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri. She has also a published work from her alma mater. When she’s not teaching, you can find Ana reading about movies, watching movies and traveling the globe.
