Biography

The Rattler Battalion welcomed CPT Amy Swan to campus at the start of the Fall 2022 semester. She is originally from San Antonio, Texas, and was commissioned from St. Mary’s University in 2013 as an Adjutant General Officer. During her tenure in the army, she has performed as a Battalion S1 both in garrison and forward deployed in Afghanistan while serving in the 3rd Cavalry Regiment at Fort Hood, Texas.

Swan was also a Company Commander in the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) located at Fort Bragg; and lastly, as a Battalion S1 in the 2nd Cavalry Regiment in Vilseck, Germany. Her civilian education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from St. Mary’s University, a Master of Arts for Human Resource Management from Webster University, and a Master in Science for Organizational Leadership from the University of the Incarnate Word.
