Students will be officially admitted to the Bill Greehey School of Business after completing 30 hours at St. Mary’s University or at least 30 hours transferred in from another institution of similar academic standing.
The 30 hours must include three hours in Economics, three hours in Mathematics and three hours in Accounting. Prior to admission, students will be considered pre-business majors. A 2.25 overall GPA is required for admittance, retention and graduation in the Greehey School of Business.
Students must earn a grade of “C” or better in all business courses. In addition, students must earn a “C” or better in the required six hours of Economics (EC2301 and EC2303) and the six hours of Mathematics (MT1305 and MT 1306). Students will not be allowed to take a B.B.A. course until all prerequisites for that course are satisfied.
Transfer students must satisfy these admission requirements before being admitted into a B.B.A. program/major in the School.
In addition to these requirements, students must submit a formal admittance application that provides evidence of leadership experiences, commitment to technical excellence, commitment to professional development and interest in global issues.
