Sharon and David Halsey-Hoover, who give dramatic performances on notable Catholics and saints, will visit campus in March as part of the Catholic Intellectual Tradition Lecture Series and Women’s History Month.

Sharon will perform “Stories That Let the Light In: Dorothy Day,” on March 21 at 7 p.m. in Reinbolt Hall’s Assumption Chapel. In conjunction with her presentation, there will be a plaque unveiling to commemorate Day’s lecture at St. Mary’s on Feb. 24, 1965.

David will perform “St. Francis of Assisi: A Life of Light” the next day at 2 p.m., also in Assumption Chapel.

Those traveling to campus are asked to park in Lot D, near the NW 36th Street entrance, or Lot H, near the Culebra Road entrance.

The Halsey-Hoovers, from Albuquerque, New Mexico, formed Inscape Ministries and offer their dramatic presentations, as well as storytelling events, lectures and retreats on spiritual topics.

David holds a master’s degree in Theological Studies from the Franciscan School of Theology in Berkeley, California, and Sharon holds a master’s of Counseling Psychology and a Certificate in Expressive Arts Therapy from the California School of Integral Studies in San Francisco. David’s special interests are in prayer and spirituality, and Sharon’s are in peace and justice.
