Jeremy Grace, formerly of Rice University, took the reins last month as director of Master of Business programs at St. Mary’s University.

For the past four years, Grace served as director of the Full-Time MBA program at Rice’s Jones Graduate School of Business. From 2010 to 2012, he was deputy director of the Learning and Teaching Unit at the University of New South Wales’ Australian School of Business.

“Jeremy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our MBA programs,” said Tanuja Singh, D.B.A., Dean of the Greehey School of Business. “We are eager for him to continue the momentum we’ve built and to uphold the St. Mary’s tradition of graduating ethical business leaders.”

Grace, who has taught communications and leadership courses for more than a decade, said he plans to contribute to the growth of the Greehey School through recruitment efforts and leadership development.

“The Greehey School of Business is a great product with a tremendous amount of potential for growth,” he said.

The programs’ previous director, Earnest Broughton, has semi-retired and will now serve as Executive in Residence at the Greehey School. Grace has been meeting with alumni to gather feedback about their experience and to encourage them to stay engaged with the school.

“The culture that Tanuja Singh, along with the faculty and staff, has built at the Greehey School of Business is a warm one,” Grace said. “It makes it clear that the quality of education is valued.”

Grace holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Northern Arizona University and is finishing his Ph.D. dissertation at the University of New South Wales. Besides communications and leadership, his areas of expertise include project assessment and management, performance management, process improvement and implementation, team building, curricular design, training and coaching.

The Greehey MBA for Values-driven Leaders is a 16-month, cohort-based program that incorporates advanced graduate-level academic preparation with a special emphasis on ethical leadership, corporate social responsibility, sustainability and social entrepreneurship topics. Features include:
