Hong’s lecture is part of the Sesquicentennial anniversary celebration of the founding of St. Mary’s University and is the second in a series of Taiwan/Asia lectures planned for the Institute for the Study of Asian Development (ISAD) at St. Mary’s. The ISAD is a cross-cultural academic exchange program between St. Mary’s, founded in 1852 by French brothers and priests of the Society of Mary, and the Institute for International Relations (IIR) at National Chengchi University in Taipei. The ISAD was established in late 2000.
