Town Hall Meeting Photo

The town hall meeting is intended to be a place for conversation, an experience of dialogic community, a chance to speak to each other, and to listen to each other, about things that matter to us. Although the town hall meeting is not the place for either problem-solving or decision-making, it is a time in which we can discuss important issues. While we are not looking for decisions, the fact that true conversation is always transformative is a promising reason for gathering. The better the conversation, the better the community; and the better the community, the better is the educational mission of St. Mary’s served. There’s some idealism in those comments, of course. But when it works, it works! That’s a solid Marianist conviction.

All members of the faculty and staff are invited to suggest topics for the town hall meeting dialogue. Please forward your suggestion to any member of the Task Force. If you would like to be anonymous, we will honor your wishes. The Task Force will try to structure the town hall meetings to reflect both the more popular and the more deeply felt issues of the community.
