Honorary SocietiesBeta Beta Beta Biology Honors Biological Society: President - Tiffany Le Advisor -Dr. Lucian Manchester Beta Beta Beta is an honor society for students in the biological sciences, which promotes and develops academically qualified and socially aware students in the health sciences. The organization also seeks to stimulate scholarship, disseminate scientific knowledge, and promote biological research. Order of Omega Advisor - Rosalind V. Alderman The purpose of this society is to recognize fraternity men and women who have attained a high standard of leadership in interfraternity activities and scholastic achievement. Phi Beta Delta: Conditionally Recognized President - Claudia Valladolid Advisor - Dr. Celine Jacquemin This national honor society is dedicated to recognizing scholarly achievement in international education.
Phi Alpha Theta: Conditionally Recognized President - Triane Weldy Advisor - Dr. Daniel Phi Alpha Theta is an international history honor society primarily organized for the purpose of recognizing excellence in the study of history. Pi Sigma Alpha: Conditionally Recognized President - Sarah Linares Advisor - Jonathan Michelon This political science honor society recognizes the academic achievements of political science majors and promotes interest in and engagement with politics at the local, state, regional, national, and international levels through a variety of activities on campus. Psi Chi: President - Elvira Gonzalez Advisor - Dr. Jennifer Zwahr-Castro Advisor -Dr. Greg Pool The purpose of this society is to encourage, stimulate, and maintain excellence in scholarship of the individual members in all fields, particularly in psychology; and to advance the science of psychology. St. Mary's University Society of Honors Scholars (SMUSHS): The mission of SMUSHS is to further the goals of the Honors Program by encouraging cultural growth, a spirit of service, dialog among intellectuals and a community of lifelong learners and friends through student-driven social, cultural, and service activities. It is the voice of the honors students. |
