Our services, programs, and experiences develop students' intellectual, spiritual and emotional growth. We are committed to helping students develop key life skills including: critical thinking, responsible citizenship, self-advocacy, compassion, faith and professional development, community building, personal identity and a sense of purpose.

‘A Night in Little Italy’ Set for Feb. 23The St. Mary’s University Department of Music will hold the Opera Workshop’s Second Annual ‘A Night in Little Italy,’ a fundraiser featuring singing waiters and an Italian dinner.
The event will be Saturday, February 23, 2013 in the University Center, Conference Room A. The doors and a cash bar will open at 5:30 p.m., followed by the dinner and show at 6 p.m. Tickets are $25, and all proceeds benefit the future productions of the Opera Workshop. Gift Supports Liberal Arts Programs at St. Mary'sAlumnus Ed Speed (B.B.A. ’70, M.A. ’86) and his wife, Linda, have given another significant gift to St. Mary’s University to support scholarship that advances Catholic social teaching, human rights, social justice and peace building.
They have given a gift of $137,500 to establish the Edward and Linda Speed Peace and Justice Fellows Program in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS). The funding will support annual fellowships for faculty research and presentations that includes publishing and/or creating works that address peace and justice issues. In addition, the funding will support an undergraduate research student assistant to work with the faculty fellow.
Institute Offering Help to Small BusinessesSt. Mary’s University is offering free assistance to local small and nonprofit businesses in areas such as marketing, business planning, and accounting through a program that helps local businesses while giving Bill Greehey School of Business students hands-on learning experiences.
The Small Business Institute within St. Mary’s University’s Bill Greehey School of Business is accepting both small and nonprofits business clients for the spring 2013 semester.
