The purpose of this program is to allow students from The Alamo Colleges a smooth transition to baccalaureate degree programs at St. Mary’s University.

To be considered for admission, a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) in all academic work attempted and good standing at the college or university last attended are required. Applicants presenting a grade point average between 2.0 and 2.49 may be considered for probationary admission. Possession of the minimum grade point average for consideration does not imply admissibility to the University. The merits of each application are considered on a case-by-case basis. (Developmental or technical course work is not considered in the evaluation of academic GPA.)

Academic credits typically will be accepted in transfer from another college if the grade(s) earned is/are at least C (2.0 on a 4.0 scale).

The agreements allow students to identify which courses may be taken at the Alamo Community Colleges to complete freshman and sophomore requirements for a particular university degree program. St. Mary’s University will accept a maximum of sixty-six (66) transfer credit hours in lower-division general education and specific field of study curriculum courses from a community college, or any combination of community colleges.
