The University community is encouraged to report crimes, emergencies and safety concerns by calling the emergency number:

When reporting an emergency, please provide your name, location and a brief description of the emergency.

Special Events
To schedule security for an event, contact Sergeant Frank Hernandez at fhernandez19@stmarytx.edu with the following information at least one week prior to the event:
- Date of event
- Starting time
- Ending time
- Type of event (i.e. wedding, athletic event, reception, etc.)
- Number of attendees expected
- Alcohol Served (Y / N)
- Name and phone number of the St. Mary's Point of Contact (POC)
Once you have met the requirements listed above, you will be contacted as soon as possible with how to make payment arrangements and further instructions. Cost starts at $28 an hour, with a three-hour minimum. Payment arrangements should be made prior to the event using a St. Mary's account number or check available (subject to change if officers are needed after scheduled time).
Note: Cancellation notification must be made by e-mail. A fee may be accessed.
Reserving Parking
If you require parking arrangements for your event, complete the Reserved Parking Request form online and return via fax to (210) 431-6757. The Captain will contact you with further information on the parking locations. We recommend campus maps be sent to your attendees. A maps is available online at www.stmarytx.edu/map.
Lost and Found
There are several lost and found areas on campus. All valuable property submitted to other areas should be brought to the University Police Department located in Treadway Hall. The Police Department will log the items and attempt to contact the owner. Student ID's and resident room keys (no vehicle keys) will be returned to the Residence Life Department.
To claim lost property, individuals must present a valid photo ID and accurately describe the property. Property items not claimed after 90 days will be donated to nonprofit agencies. Credit cards will be destroyed after 90 days. Items considered a health hazard will be destroyed.
