The Physical Plant Department welcomes the opportunity to collaborate with vendors and service providers.

Contractor (Service Provider), Contracted Services, and Vendors

1. A contractor (service provider) is a firm that repairs any university owned equipment or any equipment located on the property, such as cable TV. Included are general construction, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and utility repairs to campus facilities, architects, engineering firms, and other consultants including Technology consultants.
2. Contracted services refer to the long-term (annual) contracts for the repair and maintenance of elevators, pest control services, and trash disposal.
3. Vendors provide primarily supplies, parts, materials, and equipment rather than labor.

   Vendors (sales representatives) interested in providing services, materials, parts, supplies and equipment should send a letter of introduction or company brochure describing their product or services to:

   If the department has a need for the product or service, the Physical Plant Office will invite the contractor or service provider to apply using the form in the Guidelines for Contractors document. If it is determined that the materials, parts, supplies and equipment are needed, the Physical Plant Department will request further information.

   The Physical Plant Department maintains a list of preferred Contractors and Service Providers.
