Smoke-Free Zone Site Plan

St. Mary's University recently adopted a Policy establishing Smoke-Free Zones within 50 feet of building entrances. Initial implementation of the Policy covered Law School buildings and Outback residence halls. This spring, implementation is extending to the Alumni Athletics and Convocation Center, University Center, Alkek Business Building, Center for Life Directions, Blume Library, Pecan Grove, Treadaway Hall, Richter Math-Engineering Center, Moody Life Sciences Center, and Garni Science Hall.

Signs will be posted at the entrances to buildings reminding community members of the Policy. Smoking areas that respect the 50-foot zone will be identified with seating and disposal containers provided. The Smoke-Free Zone Site Plan illustrating the location of smoking areas is available on the Physical Plant website at www.stmarytx.edu/physplant/pdf/nonSmoking.pdf.
