After attending classes all day, 30 to 40 hardworking St. Mary's students come together to call alumni and friends to raise money in support of scholarships, academic programs, and many of the day-to-day activities at St. Mary's University. These students, or Annual Fund Associates, are hired by the Office of University Development and work diligently during the evening hours helping St. Mary's remain affordable and accessible.The money raised by Phonathon impacts a variety of areas including:

• vital scholarships
• innovative academic programs
• quality student services
• championship-caliber athletics
• state-of-the-art facilities

Monday through Thursday evenings, during the fall and spring semesters, students call to touch base with St. Mary's alumni. "Learning about our alumni's experiences" is a common reason many of our student Associates give for working at Phonathon. The conversations they have with our alumni are always very interesting, with each sharing their experiences and reinforcing the bond and community spirit unique to our institution. Additionally, Phonathon is vital in updating alumni records to help you remain connected with your alma mater and in the know about current St. Mary's happenings.
