An invitation to watch Pope John Paul II Funeral Mass as a community
You are invited to watch the Funeral Mass for Pope John Paul II that will be televised live at 3 a.m. tomorrow morning, Friday, April 8, in the Rattler Den TV Lounge of the University Center. This is a time for our community to contemplate the end of a significant era of leadership in the Catholic faith. The University Center opens at 2 a.m.
Please be aware that MSNBC network has selected St. Mary’s University as a site from which to broadcast comments and reactions of those viewing the Pope’s Funeral Mass. The network’s personnel will be on campus beginning at 2 a.m., and will broadcast six or seven live feeds during and after the funeral early tomorrow morning.
The death of the leader of the Catholic Church is a solemn occasion. We are thankful we can provide an opportunity to gather to gain strength and support from one another.
